14 May Team Cambodia 2024 🇰🇭
FIRST Global Team Cambodia 2024 is formed by 10 diligent students from 7 different schools in Phnom Penh. Despite coming from different backgrounds, we share the same characteristics: a limited understanding but an enormous ambition and desire to elevate our knowledge of robotics and intertwine it with global issues. We gather to embark on this journey, joining our experienced mentors in embracing STEM education.
More than just the competition, we aim that during the pre-and post-event, as FIRST Global Team Cambodia, we play a part in accelerating Cambodia’s awareness of the importance of STEM education and act as a bridge, helping remote communities get the opportunity to explore STEM and robotics. Participating in FIRST Global will equip us with the necessary skills such as problem-solving, teamwork, and technical skills to tackle real-world problems while fostering a sense of global community and understanding of one another. We are particularly thrilled to have the opportunity to represent our country on the international stage in addition to meeting new people from all over the world who share the same passion, drive, and ambition to help the world in any way with the very best of our effort.
Through the 2024 FIRST Global Challenge in Athens, we promise to follow the FIRST Global philosophies embodying “Gracious Professionalism” and “Coopertition” while communicating with equity, and strengthening the connection with our international friends. For this year’s theme, we understand the importance of food security and its impact on the human population. Culture was built, people were connected and comfort was provided all by food. It is imperative that we, the future generation, find solutions to said problem to be able to accommodate the ever-growing population through efficient distribution and consumption of foods.
Thank you to our supporters!
