We come from Chinese Taipei. This is the first time for most of us to participate in an international robotics event. The place where we first met was in a tuition centre dedicated to promoting STEM education. Because of the curiosity and passion of robots, we became a team. We learnt how to program, build robots, and express our ideas. During this summer vacation, we prepared for the FIRST Global Challenge and helped to promote robotics education to kids in summer camps. We love robots, so we want to get more people engaged in this interesting sport.

As a matter of fact, one of our members’ family is a farmer, unfortunately, the typhoon will hit Chinese Taipei every summer and once it hits Chinese Taipei, their fields will be damaged. This tragedy had not only happened to his family but also to tens of thousands of farmers in Chinese Taipei. It also causes tremendous economic damage and a terrible impact on Chinese Taipei’s sustenance safety, so the topic” Feeding The Future” is definitely an important issue for everyone in Chinese Taipei. What’s more, most of the food in Chinese Taipei comes from other countries. If we can help the farmers with their crops, the food self-sufficiency rate will increase gradually.

We have a lot of fun in the competition. During the time when we were preparing for the competition, we realized that our knowledge could improve something about our country. We want to make people more interested in what we’re doing. So, we joined the FIRST Global Challenge and want to raise people’s attention to robotic sports because the FIRST Global Challenge is an international competition. If more and more people participate in the field of robotics, we hope that Chinese Taipei will be improved by them.
