Costa Rica is one of the most beautiful countries in Central America, with stunning natural beauty such as rainforests, coral reefs, beaches, and volcanoes. Tourism and agriculture are the major incomes of the country’s economy.

Costa Rica’s richness is in the cultural diversity of the people. Currently, there are ethnic groups and colonies of immigrants including African descendants, Chinese, Italian, and others; the Indigenous population is large in the country.

Our Students this year are from high schools such as Liceo Nuevo de Limón Mario Bourne, Colegio Técnico Profesional de Pococí, Centro Educativo María Inmaculada, Colegio Científico del Atlántico and Colegio Diurno de Limón.

Alessandro Rojas Garcia; is a genius handling the Robot; he is one of the solvers of problems in the team; and is the team’s captain this year.

Mariangel Cordero Aguirre; is a young woman, with excellent school grades; smart, creative, and intelligent; in the future, she will study an engineering career and this year she will be the Spokesperson for our team.

Astrid Romero Umaña is the youngest in our team, and since the age of 6 she has participated in various STEM competitions; Her oldest brother has been her inspiration. He has participated in the FIRST Global competition in the past; She is very excited to participate this year.

Monserrath Trejos Rios; is a responsible and intelligent young woman, very capable of fulfilling what is assigned to her; she has never participated in any Robotics competition.

Reyhman Morgan Choise; is a smart young man, who has never participated in any Robotics competition; he has a very excellent grade at school, and is excited to be part of the team this year.

Mentors

Hermelinda Mc Kenzie W.; She is the Manager of the Team, and has been a leader in her community for many years, especially with youth; She is a Librarian by profession, works for the National Library System, and is the Co-ordinator of the American Space located in the province of Limon.

Javier Scott Morris; He is the Tech. Mentor; he has a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science and is a university Professor.
