15 May Team Georgia 2024 🇬🇪
Hey there, I’m Temiko Machavariani, and I am a 16-year-old student at Tbilisi Vekua Physics and Mathematics School. My passion for robotics as a sport began in my childhood, inspired by shows like Battlebots and the competitive engineering marvels of Formula 1. These influences have inspired me to chase my dream of developing my own engineering projects. Fueled by a zest for competition and a passion for all things innovative, I’m thrilled to join the ranks of Team Georgia for the FIRST Global Challenge 2024. I look forward to meeting participants from around the world, exchanging ideas, and tackling this year’s challenge together. It’s an honor to represent my country on such a global platform, and I’m thrilled about the amazing experiences and insights that lie ahead.
Hi, I am Aleksandre Tvaladze from Georgia! I am a student of GZAAT school. I’ve studied in musical school for 9 years. At first, I had to struggle with Bach, then, through tears and sleepless nights try to learn Czerny’s etudes and finally, enjoy the romanticism of Chopin. My interest in robotics sparked several years ago when the school offered a robotics club to newcomer students. Starting with a simple robot, I learned how to program and build more advanced prototypes. The FIRST Global Challenge is an exciting opportunity to acquire new skills and gain experience in the much more advanced level of robotics. In robotics, as in music, the hard work and series of trials and errors lead to success, the final result that works, a result that I can enjoy and be proud of.
I am Natalie Nozadze. I am 14 years old, I go to a “European school”. I love robotics. I have been in this field for about 6 years and have participated in various robotics Olympiads. For example, in 2022, I participated in the World Robotics Olympiad in “Wro” where my team took 3rd place. I have also participated in the “Genius Olympiad” in the field of robotics, where I also took 3rd place. Besides robotics, I like to draw and play various instruments, especially the trumpet. I have been playing trumpet for about 2 years. I also play guitar, violin, and piano. I want to gain more experience and knowledge with the FIRST Global “olympics”, and I hope I can.
Hi! My name is Nia and I am a part of Georgia’s traveling team. This was my first year participating in the FIRST Global Challenge. Ever since childhood, I was drawn to STEM and frequently participated in competitions. However, this project was my first time working with an actual team towards a certain goal. Throughout this time I gained a lot of valuable experiences and skills that would otherwise be impossible to achieve. Working with this team has been lovely and I can’t wait to see what the future holds for us.
My name is Gela Kirvalidze. I study at N199 physics and mathematics public school named Komarovi. I have participated in various types of maths, informatics, and chess olympiads since the first grade and won most of them, apart from that I have gone to several summer schools and visited CERN. I have always wanted to participate in such large-scale competitions and FIRST Global gives me a perfect chance for this. I hope to gain much experience from this challenge, which will help me in the future too. Good luck to everyone!
Ilia Mestvirishvili (Mentor)
I represent FIRST Global Team Georgia from the first 2017 Challenge through the current one and find FGC to be an extraordinary opportunity for students as well as mentors to have a peek view of the future – at least how the future might be if we learn to cooperate and use our differences to everybody’s advantage. See you all in Athens! Good luck to all nations!
Nikoloz Lobzhanidze (Mentor)
Hi, I am Nikoloz Lobzhanidze, a sophomore at SDSU studying Computer Engineering and one of the mentors of Team Georgia. From my childhood, I always dreamed of being an engineer to make the world a better place. Opportunities were scarce back then, but now I’m dedicated to creating, bringing, and sharing opportunities, like FIRST Global, with kids who share the same dream. I am glad to be part of this amazing project. Good luck everyone and see you in Athens!
Thank you to our supporters!
