18 May Team Jamaica 2024 🇯🇲
Meet Team Jamaica, a pioneer robotics team driven by innovation and dedication. Led by our four coaches, supported by a diverse group of engineers, programmers and designers who collaborate to construct a robot for the 2024 FIRST Global Challenge – Feeding the Future. Our goal is to bring the curricular of robotics into the spotlight, sharing our new solutions to the world by pushing the boundaries of technological advancements, whilst nurturing a colourful culture of collaboration, teamwork and innovation.
Striving for excellence, learning and gaining new knowledge and skills, having respect for one another and other teams are just some of the plethora of core values we uphold.
This team was also made possible due to the generosity of our sponsor The Union of Jamaican Alumni Associations. Furthermore, as a team we believe in community development and aligning with the theme of the 2024 FIRST Global Challenge – Feeding the Future, we partnered with The Chinese Benevolent Association to distribute food to persons who were affected by the recent Hurricane Beryl.
To close, we live by the Jamaican saying, “We likkle but we talawah” which perfectly depicts this country and this team due to its small size of 15 students however we still give our best at whatever we set our mind to. One Love!
Thank you to our supporters!
