Team Japan 2024 🇯🇵

Team Japan is composed of members from five cities across Japan: Tokyo, Kanagawa, Chiba, Hokkaido, and Nagano. These members come from diverse regions and schools, bringing a wide range of connections and expertise. Each team member is a professional in their respective fields, allowing the team to maximize performance on various challenges. By combining their different backgrounds, the team enhances its flexibility and creativity, working together to achieve the best possible results.

The primary reason for participating in FGC is to challenge a global issue—the food supply problem—through robot creation. The team aims to improve their problem-solving skills using technology, a core aspect of STEM education, in order to propose effective solutions in the real world. Additionally, with a growing concern over Japan’s low food self-sufficiency, the younger generation sees it as crucial to actively engage with this issue. FGC provides not only a technical challenge but also a valuable opportunity to foster global cooperation and a mindset focused on contributing to a sustainable future.

Moreover, Team Japan is supported by former members who previously competed in the FIRST Global Challenge. These mentors, with their extensive knowledge and experience on the global stage, provide valuable guidance and support to the current team members. Their input is expected to greatly contribute to the team’s overall growth and success.
