Team Latvia 2024 🇱🇻

Hello there, we are FIRST Global Challenge Team Latvia 2024! We are from different schools, but we all meet at The Centre of Creative Learning “Annas 2”, one of the best places in Latvia to learn science, technology, crafts and arts. There are 6 students and our mentor Egmonts Pavlovskis in our team. We are looking forward to a great and inspiring event and meeting all of you this fall. See you in Athens, Greece!

Renārs Kažoks: I participate in the FIRST Global Challenge because of my passion for robotics. I enjoy coming up with new DIY ideas, and it is incredibly rewarding to see something you have worked on “come to life.” In FGC I hope to further my knowledge and love for both mechanics and robotics, as well as gain experience in working with my team. Of course, it’s also a great excuse to visit Greece!

Augusts Dāboliņš: I am a boy who loves electronics very much. At an early age I was fascinated by robots and I would build robots out of Lego. Later I wanted to do something more serious and I went to TJN “Annas 2” learning centre where I learned to solder electronics and started to learn programming. Then I ended up here in the FGC Latvian team.

Eduards Leo Šulcs: The FIRST Global Challenge is a great chance to delve deeper into my passion for electronics and robotics. It all began in first grade with simple circuits using bulbs and batteries, but I have learned a lot since. I am very excited to learn more about robotics. My other hobbies include reading and bird watching.

Zane Lange: I am very interested in electronics and I enjoy working on projects involving electronics. Recently I made a few electronic games and ultrasonic converter to listen to bats and to show others curious things about the Doppler effect. In my free time I ride my skateboard and play video games.

Teodors Builis: Participation in the FGC 2023 event gave me a lot of insight in reliable robot design, teamwork and overall knowledge about physics. In this year’s Challenge I will advance my skills even further in the field of robotics and teamwork. I spend my free time mostly doing mountain biking and electronics. MTB is my favorite activity because it’s a way for me to do something exciting almost every day.

Ernests Bleive: I have always enjoyed working with everything related to engineering. And when I got into electronics and robotics, I knew that this was the perfect thing for me. I’ve learned to program, solder, think outside of the box, and generate tons of ideas to help achieve the final goal. I believe robotics is the perfect thing for me since it is what I love to do and I hope I can continue working with robotics in the future.

Thank you to our supporters!
