18 May Team Marshall Islands 2024 🇲🇭
Iakwe and greetings to you all! We are team “Lonaj” and we will be representing the Marshall Islands during the 2024 FIRST Global Challenge in Athens, Greece. Our team name “Lonaj” meaning, to lift up or encourage, is inspired by the FGC theme, “Feeding the Future”, because we see this as an opportunity to encourage our islands and other nations and show that STEM is not just something to learn about, rather something that can contribute in changing the world into a better place. In other words, we would like to encourage everyone in feeding the future. We are deeply honored to be a part of this program and we are ready to overcome any challenges together as a team. We are determined to challenge our young minds and put our skills and intelligence to the test.
Despite our lack of experience in Robotics, our differences, and the fact that we were complete strangers, we’ve decided to break the barrier and be united by this program to work our way through this journey, hoping to encourage others in feeding the future, experience new things, and socialize too! We are very thrilled to be part of the FGC, because we believe that by participating in this program, we can help encourage or promote STEM and its opportunities, including the advantages it can contribute to make this world better.
