Team members:
Navish Redini is a bright and motivated student from Dr James Burty David SSS. At just 15 years old, Navish has already shown great promise in both his academic pursuits and extracurricular activities. He is particularly passionate about science and technology and is an active participant in various school clubs and community projects.
Mohammad Shayaan Walid Neetoo, 14, from St Mary’s College, stands out for his remarkable intellectual capabilities and leadership qualities. Despite his young age, Mohammad has been involved in several initiatives aimed at promoting environmental sustainability and youth empowerment. His dedication to making a positive impact on his community is truly inspiring.
Raeez Fatagar, 15, from Islamic Cultural College, is known for his academic excellence and strong sense of social responsibility. Raeez has consistently achieved top grades in his studies while also dedicating his time to volunteer work. He is a role model for his peers and embodies the values of hard work and altruism.
Mulloo Hashmi, 15, from Labourdonnais College, has demonstrated exceptional academic and athletic skills. Mulloo is a top student and an accomplished athlete, having represented his school in various inter-school competitions. His well-rounded abilities make him a valuable asset to the Mauritian delegation.
Sohail Jugbandhan, 17, from Northfields International High School, is the eldest of the group and brings a wealth of experience and maturity. Sohail has been a leader in numerous student organizations and has a passion for international relations and diplomacy. His participation in the FGC will undoubtedly enhance his understanding of global issues and leadership. Sohail has been appointed as the team leader of Team Mauritius 2024.
The selection of Navish Redini, Mohammad Shayaan Walid Neetoo, Raeez Fatagar, Mulloo Hashmi, and Sohail Jugbandhan to represent Mauritius at the FGC 2024 is a testament to their hard work, dedication, and potential. These students have shown that they have what it takes to make a significant impact both locally and globally. YUVA Mauritius congratulates them on this remarkable achievement and wishes them success in their endeavours at the convention in Greece.

Devesh Takoor, the mentor of Team Mauritius, exemplifies the power of determination and perseverance in turning one’s passion into a professional career. His passion for nurturing young minds in robotics and STEM fields is an inspiring example for future individuals who want to follow his path. “Never stop dreaming; go and follow your dreams whatever it takes”, added Devesh Takoor at the end.
