Hi, we are Mihai, Sabina, Cristian, Marta, Vlad, Cristi, Ion, Sanda, David, Catalin, and we are proud and excited to represent the Republic of Moldova at the 2024 edition of the FIRST Global Challenge in Athens. Located in the heart of Eastern Europe, our country is nestled between Romania and Ukraine, and it is known for its rich traditions, warm hospitality, and immense human potential.

Our team includes ten students with different backgrounds, abilities and hobbies, but all with a common interest and dedication to STEM and Robotics. We are guided and inspired by our amazing mentors Veronica, Liliana and Florin.

Agriculture plays a significant role in our country’s GDP, making our participation in this year’s “Feeding the Future” edition of the FIRST Global Challenge especially relevant and meaningful to our team. We are grateful for our heritage — our soil and climate — and we, as a nation, are incredibly proud of the quality, taste and remarkable nutritional value of the food we can produce in Moldova.

Being so passionate about science and engineering, our team is aware and enthusiastic about the way technologies and innovation can revolutionize the food production systems, can lead to increased efficiency and productivity in agriculture, sustainability and environmental impact. In this competition, we are driven by our passion for innovation and our commitment to a sustainable future. Taking into consideration that food security is one of the most important challenges global society is currently facing, we strongly believe that the competition will provide a great platform for the young and talented minds from all over the world to bring their own contribution to this topic.

It is in our power to make a change through hard work, perseverance and dedication and we are honored to bring the essence of our nation to the global stage, ready to collaborate, learn, and inspire and be a part of the big movement for improving people’s lives and future.

For us, representing Moldova at the FIRST Global Challenge is not only about demonstrating our technical skills and knowledge, it’s also about sharing our cultural heritage and our vision for a better world. We are grateful for this amazing opportunity, and we are looking forward to connecting with other teams and exchanging ideas.
