Team Myanmar 2024 🇲🇲


The Myanmar Robotics Team is a dynamic group of passionate and talented students who are excited to represent their country on the global stage at the FIRST Global Challenge. Hailing from Myanmar, a nation known for its rich cultural heritage, natural beauty, and resilient spirit, the team embodies the values of innovation and perseverance that are deeply rooted in their homeland. United by a shared enthusiasm for robotics, technology, and innovation, the team is dedicated to tackling complex problems and finding creative solutions that can make a positive impact on the world.

Our Team consists of:

Aung Khant Hein @ Alfred
with a keen interest in robotics and technology, particularly in artificial intelligence and its applications in solving real-world problems, there is a passion for building and programming robots, participating in tech competitions, and exploring new advancements in the field. Outside of technology, playing volleyball and table tennis provides an active lifestyle and helps develop teamwork and strategic thinking skills. Participating in this year’s FIRST Global Challenge is an exciting opportunity to design and program a robot to tackle the competition’s tasks and to learn from other teams’ innovative solutions. The theme “Feeding the Future” holds special significance, as fostering and facilitating life on a larger scale is essential for sustaining our planet and its people.

Kyawt Phyu Sin Maung @ Alison
a passion for coding, football, Formula 1, and STEM fuels curiosity and enthusiasm for robotics, with plans to pursue a future career in Computer Science. Participation in the FIRST Global Challenge this year marks the first time competing on an international stage, providing a valuable opportunity to collaborate with like-minded individuals and share experiences with peers in Myanmar. The theme “Feeding The Future” resonates deeply, as contributing creative ideas with the potential to change the world is a key motivation.

Khant Htoo Paing @ Justin
his Hobbies include reading books and playing table tennis, both of which are enjoyed alongside the excitement of participating in this challenge. The opportunity to meet people with diverse backgrounds and work with friends as a team is highly valued. The theme “Feeding the Future” is of particular importance, as world hunger remains a significant issue globally, including in Myanmar. Spreading awareness and contributing to efforts that address this critical problem is essential.

Yan Naing Aung @ Freddy
A strong interest in robotics, coding, and engineering has been a driving force since a young age, with a fascination for how machines work and how technology can improve the quality of life. Enjoyment is also found in playing badminton and traveling to new places. Participation in this year’s FIRST Global Challenge offers the thrill of competing on a global stage and the opportunity to engage in creative problem-solving. The chance to explore Greece during the competition adds to the excitement. The theme “Feeding the Future” is significant, as it highlights the interdependence of global systems such as water, energy, and food. Balancing these resources is crucial for supporting a sustainable food system and addressing critical global challenges.

Han Moe Sett Naing @ Henry
Currently attending the IGCSE O level at Mandalay International Science Academy, with this being the first year at the school. Interest spans across many subjects, with Mathematics being a favorite. Hobbies include playing football, reading, and building with LEGO, which serves as a creative outlet, improving engineering skills and transforming imaginative ideas into real structures. Participation in the 2024 FIRST Global Challenge is a thrilling opportunity to work with students from around the world and share ideas. The theme “Feeding the Future” is important, as it leverages STEM to address food security issues by creating innovative solutions for managing water, food, and energy to ensure a sustainable future.

Nuha Muneer (Main Mentor):
As an experienced robotics mentor, Nuha has successfully guided students through national and international robotics competitions, showcasing her expertise in coaching and leadership. Since 2014, she has served as Computer Science, ICT & Robotics Teacher, where she has led STEM, Robotics, Arduino, Raspberry Pi, and Electronics clubs. Her mentorship has propelled her EV3 Mindstorm teams to numerous victories in the Myanmar STEM Competition (MSC), earning accolades such as Best Robot Design, Best Robot Performance, and the Champion title at the national level. Her strong foundation in software engineering, combined with her educational background, enables her to create a dynamic and challenging learning environment. Her commitment to robotics education not only inspires a passion for technology but also equips students with essential problem-solving skills, preparing them for the technological advancements of the future.

Serdar Geldiyev (Mentor):
As someone who has experience in science field, I am deeply passionate to the STEM and its implementation to our daily life. I am thrilled to participate in this year’s FIRST Global Challenge, motivated by my dedication to inspiring students and tackling global issues such as water pollution through innovative solutions.
This year’s challenge, “Feeding the Future,” resonates deeply with the team, as it focuses on using STEM to address critical issues related to food security and sustainability. With a strong foundation in robotics, coding, and engineering, the team is eager to apply their skills to design and build a robot that can contribute to solving these global challenges.

Guided by experienced mentors and driven by a commitment to excellence, the Myanmar Robotics Team is not only looking forward to competing but also to collaborating with other teams, learning from diverse perspectives, and sharing their own innovative ideas. The team is proud to be part of this international event and is determined to showcase the creativity, resilience, and ingenuity that define the spirit of Myanmar.
