Team Nepal is thrilled to participate in the 2024 FIRST Global Challenge, representing Nepal with a dynamic and diverse group of young talents. Our team members come from various regions and backgrounds, each bringing their unique skills and perspectives to the challenge.
Neir Amatya, a dedicated youth from Imperial World School in Kathmandu, excels academically and in extracurricular activities. His leadership in forming a school volleyball team and active involvement in organizing school events highlight his commitment and teamwork. Neir’s passion for coding and robotics, combined with his ongoing robotics classes, fuels his excitement to contribute to this year’s theme, “Feeding the Future.”
Purnika Silwal, a dedicated A-level student from The British College in Kathmandu, represents Nepal with pride. Her selection for the 2024 FIRST Global Challenge reflects her broad interests and eagerness to showcase her skills on a global stage. She is excited to learn from diverse experiences and contribute to the theme that emphasizes innovation in feeding future generations.
Sarisha Sherchan, a dedicated student from St. Mary’s Secondary School in Pokhara, embodies determination and enthusiasm. Her selection for the challenge has fueled her motivation to not only contribute to the team’s success but also to bring back valuable insights to inspire her peers in Nepal. Sarisha’s readiness to compete and learn highlights her dedication to the theme of “Feeding the Future.”
Prince Kumar Sah, a dedicated student from KMC School in Janakpur, is honored to represent Nepal in the 2024 FIRST Global Challenge. His excitement to showcase his talents on an international platform underscores his commitment to the challenge. Prince’s enthusiasm and drive are central to his participation in this global event.
Prasanna Giri, a dedicated student from LRI School in Chitwan, combines a management background with a passion for science and robotics. As the team lead, Prasanna’s commitment to representing Nepal and his readiness to give his best on the international stage reflect his dedication and excitement for the theme, “Feeding the Future.”
Guiding and supporting the team, Er. Bikash Gurung, an experienced electronics engineer and mentor, and a leader in electronics, AI, and robotics and Milan Tamang, an experienced electronics engineer and mentor, bring invaluable expertise to Team Nepal. Bikash’s leadership and contributions to AI and robotics and his previous experience as a mentor at the FGC in Singapore, along with Milan’s previous experience as a mentor at the FGC Geneva, will play a crucial role in the team’s preparation and performance at FGC Athens.
