Comprised of five dynamic individuals from different corners of the island, our team brings together diverse talents and unwavering dedication to excel in the world of robotics.

In the bustling town of Toa Baja resides Angelí, the artistic soul of our team. With a passion for expression in various forms, Angelí infuses our projects with creativity and visual flair, turning ideas into captivating realities. Angelí’s charismatic presence leaves a lasting impression, inspiring others to join our journey of innovation and excellence. Adrián, our resident programmer extraordinaire, calls Hatillo home. His insatiable thirst for knowledge and for continuous learning drives our team’s technological advancements. With a keen eye for detail and a knack for research, Adrián ensures our robots operate at peak efficiency. Diego, the indomitable spirit from San Juan, embodies the essence of determination and resourcefulness. A true go-getter, Diego fearlessly tackles any challenge that comes our way, armed with nothing but duct tape and WD-40, proving that ingenuity knows no bounds. Daniel, also from San Juan, serves as the anchor of our team. With his profound engineering insight and analytical prowess, Daniel simplifies complex tasks and keeps our projects grounded in practicality. His steady hand and strategic vision guide us through the toughest of obstacles. Lorena, the organizational powerhouse from San Juan, ensures that our team operates like a well-oiled machine. Methodical and intelligent, Lorena keeps everyone on track, maintaining focus and efficiency as we strive towards our goals. Her unwavering determination sets the pace for success.

This year’s theme, sustainable food systems, is crucial for an island due to its ability to maintain productivity, protect the environment and limited natural resources. Living on an island, where space and resources are more restricted, it is essential to implement agricultural practices that minimize the use of pesticides and chemical fertilizers, thus conserving the quality of the soil and water. Since we are an island, we depend too much on foreign countries to obtain food products. This causes that, in atmospheric events or pandemics, we have a shortage of products. Sustainable agriculture promotes resilience to climate change and market fluctuations and would provide food security for the local population. This season of FGC gives us a platform as leaders to talk about these issues with our political leaders.
