IRAKOZE PASTEUR AIME
I’m Irakoze Pasteur Aime, a 15 years old, born and raised in a small Kigali, City in the district of Gasabo, the capital city of Rwanda. Rwanda is small and beautifully country and has a capital called Kigali, which is a very clean city. I come from a wonderful family of 5 siblings made with four brothers and myself as the only female sibling. I am the last born in my family. Currently I am in Senior 1 high school in right at the beginning of my secondary education fueled with a passion for Mathematics and Science as a career that I aspire to pursue as a career. As an Undergraduate I want to pursue engineering or medicine. But I see technology as a solution to real world problems such as communication, service delivery and others. I want to be part of the FIRST Global Challenge since it is contributing to this quickly changing technology by connecting people and engaging them in transforming the world. I am committed at using the skills that I will acquire from FIRST Global Challenge to impact my home, Africa. I and fellow Africans are committed to participating in the transforming of our home continent using technology. However, we are lacking places dedicated to exploring and inventing. I will use the education that I will acquire to work towards creating an African Silicon Valley. This place will promote invention, and we will start contributing to our own development. I am motivated to apply in this program because with the experience that I will acquire I will be having more steps ahead towards development of technology in Africa and the world at large.

MUROTI R. THEOPHILE: Managing Director and Senior mentor of FIRST Global Rwanda. I have taken and led this team in different events and competitions and we are working with different stakeholders to multiply the opportunity given to the team to aim as many students as we can. The team supported by MPUHWEZIMANA JEAN GABRIEL , an Electronics Engineer and a Full Stack Software Developer. I find immense joy in mentoring children, and helping them tap into their engineering capabilities. Participating in FIRST Global 2023 is an esteemed opportunity. Witnessing the growth of young minds, their innovative thinking, and their hands-on exploration of STEM fascinates me. It’s truly an honor to be part of their inspirational journey of representing our nation while nurturing their creative potential.
