Team SpringBots South Africa 2024 is a vibrant group of young minds, aged 14 to 18, driven by a shared passion for STEM and a deep commitment to bettering their communities. Comprising diverse talents and backgrounds, these dedicated individuals are not just participants in the FGC challenge but also visionary advocates for the advancement of robotics in South Africa.

Beyond the competition arena, Team SpringBots South Africa 2024 has set their sights on catalysing a nationwide movement. Their mission includes lobbying to establish robotics as a recognised sport in South Africa, fostering awareness about the potential of robotics, and pioneering the formation of 100 new teams across the country.

Embodying the core values of FIRST Global, particularly Gracious Professionalism and Coopertition, these young innovators are more than competitors—they are collaborators and ambassadors for positive change. Alongside their pursuit of excellence in robotics, Team SpringBots South Africa 2024 is deeply involved in community initiatives, leveraging their skills to address local challenges and inspire the next generation of STEM enthusiasts.
