Team South Sudan 2024 🇸🇸


The National Communication Authority has officially recognized the South Sudan Robotics Club (SSRC) as the national robotics association, tasked with promoting Science, Technology Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) education in the country. Led by Eng. Kuc Mayur and Eng. Richard Ring Kuach, the organization aims to empower South Sudanese youth by providing them with opportunities to develop their skills in technology. The Robotics Club has been supported by STEMpower.org in its efforts to represent South Sudan in international competitions, further solidifying its role as a champion of STEM education in the country.

In 2024, the South Sudan Robotics Team will proudly represent the country in the FIRST Global Challenge, a prestigious international robotics competition to be held in Athens, Greece. This marks the seventh time the team has participated in this esteemed event, showcasing the country’s growing talent in robotics. Since its inception in 2017, the robotics program has had a profound impact on over 500 young people in South Sudan, inspiring a new generation of innovators and leaders. The team’s participation in international competitions such as the FIRST Global Challenge serves as a testament to the country’s commitment to STEM education and its potential for growth and development.
