22 May Team Timor-Leste 2024 🇹🇱
Greetings from Timor-Leste and we are proud, excited, and honoured to represent our young country Timor-Leste, also known as East Timor, in 2024 FIRST Global Robotic Challenge with the support of all our friends and families.
Team Timor-Leste is made up of 4 students from St. Paul Methodist School Timor-Leste (SPMSTL). SPMSTL was established by the Methodist Churches of Singapore in 2016 in Dili, the capital of Timor-Leste. It hopes to provide affordable quality education in a Christian environment to the young generation of Timorese.
Timor-Leste became an independent nation in 2002 and it is located in Southeast Asia. Timor-Leste is rich in natural resources and cultural heritage. Its land, characterized by its mountainous terrain and fertile soils, supports a diverse range of agricultural activities. The food culture of Timor-Leste, influenced by various traditions, showcases a unique blend of flavors and ingredients. As the country continues to develop, preserving these resources and cultural practices remains essential for maintaining its identity and supporting its communities.
Through FIRST Global Challenge on Feeding the Future, we genuinely believe that it will help to raise the awareness in the next generation to conserve water and energy and to create sustainable food and resources for the future. We are truly looking forward to collaborating with teams from different countries, and to exchanging ideas through this robotic challenge which promotes collaboration and innovation among the new and future generations of the world.
In summary, Team Timor-Leste is looking forward to representing our country to work with other young innovators in the world to address the global issues on food and its sustainability.
Thank you to our supporters!
