Since 2017, starting from humble beginnings, the Tunisian flag has waved proudly under the bright lights of the FIRST Global Challenge with hidden talents showing off, little did we know that the legacy will continue to its 8th Edition!

Aslema “عسلامة” ! We, the Tunisian team, are composed of 32 members aged between 15 and 18 years old, with more than one-third of them being talented young women, reaching our peak membership number across previous editions. Our team is mentored by Mrs. Faten Khalfallah Hammouda, and Mr. Rabeh Hammouda, and guided by Ahmed Kobbi, Mohamed Abdennadher, and Mohamed Hedi Ben Jemaa. We all are sports enthusiasts as we practice 16 various types of sports such as volleyball, swimming, tennis, etc…

In fact, beyond these typical types of sports, we embraced robotics as not just a hobby but a competitive sport. We dedicate ourselves not only to practicing robotics but also to teaching it to youngsters in our community since we are all coaches and coach assistants within the First Skills Club. As coaching staff members in this association, we plan, animate, and prepare coaching sessions to teach youth communication skills in English via modern technologies in various fields, such as 3D design, Quantum Computing, and Programming in addition to robotics.

By getting to work on the “ Feeding the Future ” theme and drawing from our experience participating and volunteering in previous editions, we believe that we can create promising innovations that will last for generations, benefiting our community, country, and the world. This edition is particularly exciting for all of us as we aim to surpass our achievements from the previous year, during which we earned 6 awards. We have set it a challenge for ourselves to push beyond our limits, uncover new hidden potentials, and strive for greater success. Each member of Team Tunisia is bringing their unique skills to the table, creating a blend of creativity, perseverance, and coopertition.

Actually, during our long years of membership in the First Skills Club, we gained Olympic values and learned how to develop our talents and how to make use of them in different ways such as working in teams, learning and sharing our knowledge with others to achieve greater projects in the future and even in our daily lives. Most importantly, throughout our journey in the First Skills Club, we attended many camps and worked together in organizing events. This experience has fostered a strong bond of belonging among us, a blessing that we truly believe will positively impact our final work.

Ultimately, we aspire to continue seeing proudly our dear flag raised high amongst many other nations and we are eagerly ready to embark on this exciting journey, honor our legacy, and build up long-lasting relationships!
