Team Vietnam 2024 🇻🇳


Team Vietnam 2024 consists of 12 individuals passionate about Robotics and STEAM from all over Vietnam. This year, Team Vietnam participated in the 2024 FIRST Global Challenge with the mindset of exchanging and learning from international robotics peers, as well as spreading the friendly spirit of Vietnam to the world. With the theme “Feed the Future” of FGC 2024, Vietnam, a country with a thriving rice agriculture sector, promises to bring meaningful messages and promote the spirit of food security to the world.

Meet Phuong Cao Thi Ha: Phuong is a vibrant 17-year-old student from Chuong My A High School in Hanoi, is an enthusiastic and proactive individual with a deep passion for science and technology. She has taken on a leadership role as the current president of her school’s Robotics club, CRAS. As a non-technical worker in a tech environment, Phuong excels in managing the Public Relations and Finance departments for Team Vietnam, demonstrating her flexibility and dedication. This season, she is eager to participate in the FIRST Global Challenge, driven by her desire to channel her enthusiasm, gain invaluable experience, and grow both personally and professionally. Phuong aims to bring significant value to the Vietnamese community, fostering a love for Robotics and STEM among her peers and inspiring the next generation of innovators.

Meet Binh Truong Gia: With a desire to master all the knowledge in the world, Gia Binh decided that Robotics would be an excellent starting point for his journey. He was introduced to Robotics and the FIRST spirit through a school club and was fascinated by its unique ethos, along with the burning passion passed down from his grandfather. Binh decided to join the Robotics club – RIAN.

Meet Trinh Nguyen: A kind hearted girl, who is currently a member in the same Robotics club as Gia Binh, RIAN. After participating in FIRST Tech Challenge Vietnam 2024, she applied to be a part of FIRST Global Team Vietnam. At present, she is responsible for public relations and finance management of Team Vietnam. In this season, she wants to gain more interesting experiences and make friends with other people from all over the world.

Meet Minh Nguyen Tuan: Minh is a cat lover who also has a passion for Robotics. He is currently a student at FPT High School and the president of his school’s Robotics Club. The first time he learned about Robotics was when he participated in VRC 2023. He fell in love with Robotics and wanted to join Team Vietnam to pursue his passion and bring value to the community in Vietnam.

Meet Hieu Mai Trung: A 17 years old student currently studying at Kim Lien High School and also a co-founder of the STEAM club at his school. After years of trying to find his true passion, Hieu stumbles in front of the beauty of coding and spends all of his free time devoted to the open source world. Learning and growing from communities, Hieu understands his duty to payback and to bring his youth and passion to inspire future young generations.

Meet Minh-Khoi Nguyen: Obsessed with the field of Robotics and the joy it brings, Khoi – a 16 years old student – is on the way to find more opportunities to experience and access to a greater source of knowledge. To achieve his dream which is having the ability to inspire students all over 3 regions of Vietnam and share his interests about Robotics, Khoi is trying his best to learn and experience more and more then share his knowledge to the later generations.

Meet Khang Tran: a 16-year-old student from Le Quy Don Specialized High School in Da Nang, was once rejected from joining a Robotics club with a special interest in machinery and engines, Khang dreams of becoming a mechanical engineer. Once, by chance, he was invited to participate in a Robotics competition with the spirit of FIRST, and he was captivated. With a burning passion for engineering from a young age, Khang chose to join the Vietnam team, spreading his passion and the spirit of Robotics to future generations.

Meet Hang Nguyen Thu: a student at Thach That High School, Capricorn sign, quiet and passionate about reading books about world history and psychology. She likes playing genshin impact and adventure anime series like dr. Stone, kimetsu no Yaiba. She enjoys researching scientific subjects such as physics and materials science.

Meet Duy Vu Ngoc: who made a big impression on his new friends by his V-line face. He is currently studying at Nguyen Hue High School for the Gifted. As he said, he has an awkward character. But he is a funny person and willing to support everyone.

Meet Tung Nguyen: Tung was born and raised in Hanoi, with a passion for exploring electronic components and device mechanisms from a young age. Currently, Tung holds the position of a mechanical engineer in the Vietnam team, where he applies his knowledge and skills to contribute to important projects. Tung is always looking for ways to learn and develop himself to advance further in the fields of mechanics and technology.

Meet Tuan-Anh Pham: He got himself a statement “Bad Things Create a Difference”. He studies at FPT High School in Can Tho. He is one of the key members who keeps the group connected thanks to his inherent sense of humor. He is also very creative in thinking when it comes to assembling robots.

Meet Minh-Anh Giap: She enjoys playing chess, games and listening to music. She is also into Kpop and Kdrama as well. She has a passion for researching new things in her life. Anh is a friendly girl but she will get mad if you do not put effort in your work, so be careful with her.
