Hello everyone!

We, the youth of Yemen, are pleased to continue our country’s series of contributions in the magnificent global scientific event, the 2024 FIRST Global Challenge in its eighth edition this year. We look forward to meeting all friends from different continents around the world who are interested in robotics, artificial intelligence, and STEM education. Our gathering will take place in Athens, Greece, from September 26th to 29th, 2024.

We would like to express our gratitude to the organizing committee of this championship, which brings together young people and individuals interested in science, engineering, technology, and mathematics from all continents of the world. Thank you… Thank you… Thank you.

This competition will provide numerous opportunities for our students to showcase their abilities and skills in robot design, programming, problem-solving, as well as exchange knowledge and information with our friends from all over the world.

We aspire to be the best representatives of our beloved nation, Yemen. Our country has a rich history and has contributed numerous scientists and thinkers who have left their mark throughout history.
Our team consists of 5 students, along with a mentor, a coach, a media representative, and several advisors. All the students are studying in secondary schools in different locations. Despite living in different parts of the country, it doesn’t hinder our daily communication through social media and our meetings during leisure time and official holidays at the Gifted Academy (the supervising authority of our team). We engage in our favorite hobby of designing and programming robots and their various applications while integrating STEM disciplines.

We are ready for this year’s competition, and the capabilities of our youth, along with our country’s cumulative experiences in participating in this global scientific event since its inception in 2017 in the United States, make us look forward to achieving top positions and elevating the name and knowledge of our country on the winners’ platforms alongside scientifically and technologically advanced nations, despite the difficult and harsh circumstances our beloved country, Yemen, is going through.

We send greetings to all our friends around the world, and we are delighted to meet them in this global scientific event to share knowledge and expertise, despite the differences in cultures and dialects. However, our passion for science, knowledge, love, and peace unites us.
